Blue pills may aid or inhibit survival (different characters believe different things about them.). I've heard good things about Crossed +100, but I haven't read it personally. Red pills from the Society are supposed to cause someone to forget what has happened to them. I'd recommend the original Crossed Series, Wish You Were Here, Crossed 2013 Special, 2014 Special, 2013 Annual, and Badlands issues 1-3, 19-20, 25-28, and 50-56. The Society sends boys into battle with faulty weapons. Ky witnesses the deaths of his family and friends. I also love that the story is pretty clean other than some brief violence. The characters hooked me enough that I still want to finish reading the series.
I liked the part of the story where Cassia has to navigate the river.
Cassia wants to find the Rebellion to join them, and while I understood Ky’s reason for opposing her, I didn’t really find Cassia’s curiosity very compelling.
